Our journey is rooted in a proud legacy that spans over a century—beginning in 1905 with DeivaThiru. K. Sadayappa Mudhaliar (1885 - 1965), a pioneer in traditional handloom silk weaving. With exceptional skill and unwavering dedication, he laid the foundation for a family tradition built on quality, discipline, and integrity. His deep understanding of silk textures, intricate weaving techniques, and attention to detail enabled him to create fabrics that were not only products of utility but also expressions of art and cultural heritage. Beyond his technical mastery, he instilled strong values within the family—values that transcended generations. He emphasized the importance of hard work, humility, and continuous learning, encouraging the next generation to not only preserve the craft but also strengthen and adapt it over time.

This legacy was strengthened by DeivaThiru. S. Palanisamy Mudhaliar (1928 - 2007), who preserved the authenticity of the handloom silk weaving while navigating changing times, ensuring continuity and growth. Working with limited resources but abundant determination, he built his practice on the principles of discipline, consistency, and ethical trade. Every thread he wove carried his personal assurance of quality, earning the trust and respect of customers and the local community. His approach was never merely transactional—it was relational, grounded in honesty, reliability, and long-term reputation building. 

The next transformative phase was led by Thiru. P. Selvaraj Mudhaliar (1956–2021), whose visionary leadership marked a significant evolution in the family’s journey. Recognizing the need to modernize, he transitioned traditional weaving practices into a structured power loom fabric manufacturing system, establishing Shri Arunachala Textiles in Erode. With strong entrepreneurial foresight, he expanded operations into wholesale merchandising, enabling wider market reach and consistent business growth. Under his guidance, the enterprise earned a reputation for reliability, quality, and ethical trade practices. His ability to blend tradition with modernization ensured sustainable growth while preserving the core values that defined the family legacy.
