Our Bioreactor Types & When to Use Them

1. Aerobic Activated Sludge Reactors (ASR)

Ideal for municipal STPs and industrial ETPs with moderate to high biodegradable organics. We offer conventional ASR, extended aeration, and sequencing batch reactor (SBR) variants.

Benefits: Reliable BOD/COD removal, flexible load handling, proven nitrification when required.

2. Moving Bed Biofilm Reactors (MBBR) & IFAS

Best for plants needing high solids retention and compact footprints. MBBR carriers + Microrapid® biofilms achieve faster organic breakdown and nitrification.

3. Anaerobic Digesters & UASB / EGSB

4. Hybrid Aerobic‑Anaerobic Systems

Combines anaerobic pre‑treatment for high COD with aerobic polishing for nutrient and pathogen control—optimal for mixed industrial streams. 

5. Specialized Reactors (Membrane Bioreactor — MBR)

MBR systems provide excellent solids separation and pathogen removal with a small footprint—suitable where reuse or ultra‑clean discharge is required.

6. Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR)

A type of activated sludge process for wastewater treatment where all treatment stages occur in a single tank, but sequentially. Wastewater is treated in batches through a cycle of distinct stages: filling, reacting (with aeration), settling, decanting (drawing off treated water), and an optional idle period for sludge removal.
